Established in 1982 as Scotland's most northerly, fully EC approved
meat complex, has capitalised upon the wealth of quality livestock available
locally. The company, based in Kirkwall, the island's main market town,
supplies prime quality beef and lamb in carcass, primal cuts or vacuum
pack. to retailers, caters and wholesalers throughout the UK, under the
"Scottish Beef" banner.

Committed to quality Orkney Meat Ltd., has achieved accreditation with the Quality Meat Scotland and were founder supporters of the QMS Assurance schemes. The Company also successfully registered its beef and lamb under the EC "Protected Designation of Origin" (PDO), thus enabling stockists to avoid the time-consuming and costly requirements of the UK Beef Labelling Scheme. |
