Mearns T McCaskie

One of the most outstanding butchers in the country is Mearns T McCaskie in Wemyss Bay.  They source Orkney Island Gold products through Orkney Meat from a handful of farms on the islands.

“The meat is hung in the spacious chills at Orkney Meat for a minimum of 10 days before it is shipped from Orkney to the shop, where it can be matured again for up to three weeks to ensure steaks of the utmost tenderness and flavour. Orkney Meat supplies a Certificate of Authentication with every delivery so customers know the farm of origin.”
